The main reasons for the increase are the continued employment of the Town Centre Regeneration Officer for one day per week, the devolution of services from Cornwall Council, an increase of the grant to the Museum and the inflationary increase for contract cleaning of the public conveniences. These extra costs have been partly off-set by reducing the Christmas Lights grant back to its 2015/16 budget, plus reductions to public conveniences buildings maintenance, play area maintenance & pay inflation.
