Post 1974
‘Post 1974’ is a list of those Mayors that have led Helston Town Council from its creation following local government reorganisation, as a result of the Local Government Act 1972.
The first meeting of the Town Council was held on 18th July 1973 and the Council operated in tandem with the Borough Council until the Annual Meeting in May 1974. At the Annual Meeting the Town Councillors elected Cllr William Thomas Rogers the first Mayor of the Town Council era.

September until the Municipal Corporations Act changed them to 9th November.
