 King George V Playing Fields Community Drop-In - Wednesday 2nd June 2021

Thank you to everyone who attended the Community drop-in at King George V Playing Fields on Wednesday.

The drop-in was held following leaflet deliveries to the local residents and posts on social media. It was designed to provide residents with an opportunity to express their views on improving the Playing Fields for wildlife in a face-to-face situation with members of the Project Team, which included representatives of Helston Town Council and Helston Climate Action Group.

The consultation involved a ‘Planning For Real’ style format that enabled attendees to indicate their preferences by positioning selected features on two large plans. To assist attendees with their choices there was a display of photos illustrating similar features from other public open spaces.

All attendees were asked to provide their postcode, age range and gender to assist with analysis of the consultation and to help with making the case for external funding if required.
