Remembrance Parade
Published: 11 November 2015
Many local uniformed organisations marched through the streets of Helston on Sunday in our annual Remembrance Parade. All branches of the military were represented, featuring a very smart contingent from HMS Seahawk. There followed a Service of Remembrance in St Michael's Church with the traditional reading of the names on the War Memorial - including the new names identified by the World War One Heritage group and added to the memorial this year. After the service the parade proceeded to the Memorial Garden where private individuals were invited to place their own poppies.
